buzzter — Terms of Use
Last updated: 8 September 2026
By installing or using buzzter you agree to these terms.
1. What buzzter is
buzzter turns phones into buzzers for an in-person event. Anyone can join a room and buzz, free of charge and for as long as the app exists. Hosting a room — running the clear/buzz/lock race and seeing the ranked order — requires a subscription.
2. Subscriptions
- Hosting is offered as an auto-renewing subscription, billed yearly or monthly at the price shown in the app at the time of purchase.
- New subscribers get a 7-day free trial. Unless cancelled before it ends, the trial converts automatically to a paid subscription at the price shown.
- A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel it. Cancel at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings; the app links you there. Cancelling stops future renewals and leaves your access running until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- All payments are processed by the App Store or Google Play under their terms. Refunds are handled by them, not by us.
- Because buzzter has no accounts, a subscription belongs to the store account that bought it. Use Restore purchases to reach it on another device signed in to that same store account. A subscription bought on the App Store does not transfer to Google Play, or the other way round.
3. Fair use
Don't use buzzter to break the law, to harass anyone, or to interfere with the service or other people's games. Display names are visible to the host and are your responsibility — don't enter anything you wouldn't want shown on a screen in front of a room.
4. What we don't promise
buzzter depends on a network connection and on a server we run. It is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, that a room will always be reachable, or that timing will be accurate to any particular tolerance. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the app — including the outcome of any game, contest, or event run with it.
Nothing here limits any rights you have under the consumer law of your country, or the terms of the store you bought through.
5. Changes
We may update these terms. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised terms.
